The design is updated with a tie-dye effect in honor Sandy Bodecker, the late Nike executive credited for the success of the Swoosh’s skateboarding division. The shoe itself is inspired by the Roswell Rayguns, a fictional ABA team featured in a Nike Basketball marketing campaign from 2002.
